South Woodham Ferrers U3A Events
The following events are open to all members of our U3A:
Tuesday 11th February again 2pm at Champions Manor
Hall. This is a talk entitled 'The Battle of Maldon' and will be given by
Stephen Nunn. The cost of this talk is £4 and this includes tea/coffee and
biscuits. For more details contact the Group Leader Kate Smith.
Thursday 20th February, 1pm at Champions Manor
Hall. This is a talk organised by the London Walk Group entitled
'Spitalfield - Silk and Squalor. Cost is £5 which includes tea/coffee and
biscuits. For more details contact Mary Bridley or Janice Tyas.
Wednesday 26th February,1.30pm at Champions Manor
Hall. A talk entitled ' The Story of David Parr's House, Cambridge'. The
cost is £3 which includes a light lunch at 1.30pm followed by the talk at
2.00pm. This is organised by Pics, Brick and Moore, for more details please

Friday 8th May - The Bell Woodham Ferrers - VE Day
Celebration with A Kind of Blue and Find your Voice performing. Cost is £10 including
buffet, more details to follow.
Monday 22nd June - Coach trip to Kentwell Hall
organised by the Social Committee. The theme is a Tudor Mid-Summer
Re-creation. Cost £25, please see members of Social Committee for more
Monday 13th July - Coach trip to Goodnestone Park
in Kent. This is being organised by the Gardening Group, for more
information see Jill, Rhona or Joyce.
Tuesday 28th July - Weald and Downland Museum and
Bignor Roman Villa in Sussex organised by Pics, Brick and Moore.
Tuesday 11th August - The Local History Group
are organising an all day trip to Ely, more details to follow.
Saturday 14th November - Quiz night at Champions
Manor Hall organised by the Social Committee.
Cluster Group Events
Presentation - For those who missed this presentation last year, a
further presentation is being arranged by the Cluster Group and will again
be presented by Barry Linton of Thorpe Bay U3A and David Anthony of Essex
This will take place on Wednesday 13 May 2020 at
Maldon Town Hall starting at 10am.
There will be tea and coffee from 9.30.
We have been allocated 25 places and if you
